We are always looking for businesses to host student interns! A student internship is a beneficial experience for both the student and the business!
Reality of Money Event
The Reality of Money Financial Simulation allows students to make financial decisions about paying for housing, transportation and other monthly expenses as they are "transformed" into young adults with jobs and other responsibilities to manage. Volunteers will assist students as they move through various expense stations. Students are exposed to various financial learning points such as: the value of furthering their education after high school, the limiting effect bad credit has on their lifestyle choices and how to "live within their means".
This is a great opportunity for Broughton High School to work side by side with SECU, parents, and community volunteers to help students prepare for their financial future. This hands-on activity will ignite the student's passion for financial literacy and experiential learning! Take a look at this video to get a glimpse of students participating in a previous event.
Volunteers in our morning and afternoon sessions are welcomed to join us for lunch.

Career Expo 2017
This is our biggest career preparation event of the year and we need you to make it possible! Last year, more than 80 business professionals spoke with over 200 eleventh-grade students about possible career pathways. Even Dr. Merrill, WCPSS Superintendent, attended the Expo and spoke with our students about careers in education!
The goal of the Career Expo is to get our students thinking about their futures. We want students to leave the expo with a greater understanding of possible future careers and how they should start preparing for those careers now. We also want students to start making professional connections within the community.
We need professionals from every career field to share their "career stories" with our students. Please consider registering for this event so that you can help our students make educated decisions about their futures! Click here to register!
